Just
Around the Corner
With Musclemania World soon approaching I
am all set to go. My entry form has been sent, plane ticket
purchased and the hotel is reserved. So there’s no turning
back now. As for my training, I am ahead of schedule. Ripping
up for a show and making sure my muscularity is dead on has
never been a big problem for me. It’s just making sure
I come in thick and keep my size that’s always been
hard. So far so good. I put on some good weight during the
year. All thanks to my nutritionist Cindy Fogel. With her
mass gaining meal plan I am coming in much bigger than at
last years MM Canada with the same definition and muscularity.
With about 2 ½ weeks to go I am polishing up my posing
routine. For those that have followed my career expect more
of my infamous classical posing style. The Posing routine
has always been my favorite part of the show. I love getting
up on stage and hitting classic Arnold-Zane poses.
The only thing I have to worry about is keeping
my body intact. So far I’ve stressed out the muscles
in my back both shoulders and triceps. All reoccurring injuries
from last years show reminding me what it’s like to
push yourself beyond your limit. Also the diet and hard training
has caused my stomach to act up. I knew something like this
would happen. Due to my disabilities there is only so much
stress my body can handle. Training 6 days a week, 3-5 hours
a day (training, cardio and posing) starts to take its toll
on my body. What I’ve been doing to help my body out
is 2 times a week I see my Physio Therapist: Donald Balmforth,
B.Sc (PT) Pht. He works with the Montreal Alouettes. He takes
care of all the aches and pains and makes it possible for
me to continue training for the show. Also during the year
he worked on stimulating my muscles. As I trained I noticed
I was getting stronger and able to go a lot heavier in my
weights. All I need is for Donald to keep me alive for a few
more weeks and then I can give my body a big vacation just
in time for the X-Mas Holidays.
Well I have to go and practice more posing.
Till Next time
