In 1993, Musclemania scouts discovered former MM Pro Ade Rai. The Indonesian college student was a foreign exchange student living in Virginia where he entered a local bodybuilding competition. He went to become an Indonesian bodybuilding superstar and national commercial mogul including a sports nutrition line, chain of health clubs and gyms, sports apparel brand and more. Then, in 1996, another Indonesia lifter was discovered by Musclemania. Ricky Syamsuri when he was a 23 year old college student attending California State University in Fullerton, California. He competed on the Musclemania World Tour and won the '05 Musclemania Superbody. Then, without exercising his new MM Pro status, Ricky abruptly retired from competitive bodybuilding. Now, following a 6 year hiatus, Ricky is returning to posing dias and training for MM Universe in Miami. The 5'8", 200 lbs. personal trainer works with Ade Rai and follows his regimen of natural bodybuilding. "I have been working with Ade but still training. Now I have bumped up the intensity. Actually, I was all ready to make my MM Pro debut at the World's in Las Vegas. But, I did not get my visa until two days before the show. I was in amazing shape and a lot bigger than ever before - at least 185 lbs. So, since November I have been in the gym twice a day and can't wait to compete at the Universe." Ade and Ricky have been leaders of the natural bodybuilding movement in Indonesia. And, now Ricky will remind the American audience and Musclemania fans about the threats from the Far East.
