Challenged to defend his '04 Musclemania Universe title, legendary MM Pro Ulisses says he has been training heavy to take on all comers. He hasn't competed since his big win 6 years ago and took off a few years to focus on his personal training business. And, last year, Ulisses moved his family from his native New York City to London to open a personal training studio. "Business has been steady and is growing each month," he says. "But, I really missed hard core bodybuilding and more than anything being on stage." So, with his business affairs in order, for the past six months Ulisses has been hitting the weights twice a day. "I have been at it like never before. My weight is 225 lbs. and I really think I can compete at least 20 lbs. heavier than my last contest - around 215 lbs." So, after 6 years, why now. Ulissses explains, "It's the 20th Musclemania and I want the title, I want it bad." Keep track of Ulisses' progress as he prepares for MM Universe. He will soon post new photos and regular training updates on his MM Superbody Blog.
