Oct 13 ’11 – Figure Europe Champion Renata Sulikate becomes newest victim of internet libel on the fitness scene with a new breed of “investigative journalist” making claims ranging from failing drug tests to conspiracy theories linking Renata to the promoters and judges of nearly every major UK fitness and bodybuilding federation. There are already investigations being made to highlight the true source and motivation behind the rumors with the practice of hiding behind screen names becoming increasingly commonplace. Fitness athletes are unfortunately seen as easy targets often without the resources to challnge this type of journalsim in the courts .
Oct 10 ’11 – As Musclemania Britain gets ready for our 3rd season, competitor feedback questionnaires have been sent to all 2010/11 athletes. Promoters will be reviewing feedback in preparation for the 2012 launch and taking on board any critiques to make 2012 the best year yet!

Sept 16 ’11 - Musclemania Britain management congratulates Britain and European Finalists in qualifying for the Nov 2011 MM World Championships and June 2012 Fitness Universe! As both are World Championships events with over 500 athletes, new Musclemania Pro Roger Snipes has already announced that he’s waiting until the 2012 Musclemania Universe Weekend to put on an extra 10 pounds of solid muscle mass for his debut performance on the world stage! AsRoger is one of the best Musclemania pros from Britain or Europe in the past century, all eyes are on him to see how he stacks up to the competition on the international scene.

June 29 ’11 – Fitness England Champion Maija Kivelä and Model England ChampionSian Toal close a sponsorship deal with MonsterSupplements.com. The team are now getting ready to step it up for the finals secure their place at the World Championships, Las Vegas.
June 25 ’11 – The MEM Gym Boys get their first big photo shoot with Muscle and Fitness Magazine photographer Tauseef Asri. They expect the feature to be on the newsstands after summer.
May 10 ’11 – Muscle & Fitness Magazine photographer Matt Marsh announced his commitment to the Fitness Britain Tour as our official event photographer at the England Championships last month. Competitors are treated like fitness royalty with the 2k backstage studio and all the trimmings of a professional photo shoot at Fitness Britain events.
May 09 ’11 - Word is spreading that British natural bodybuilder Shane Raymond is training intensely for Musclemania Britain on September 4. In just two years of competing, the 5'8", 200 lbs. trainer has won nearly every UK natural federation national titles and is bumping up his game to take on the best in the country at Musclemania. Shane says he wants to go on to compete at MM World in Las Vegas, hopefully as a MM Pro. We will see come September 4.
May 10 ’11 - "Novice" first time competitor and now MM Heavyweight Champion Roger Snipes made a last minute decision to enter the Open Men's division at the England after some persuasion by MM Promoters. Its paying off already with a new sponsorship deal with PhD Nutrition, one of MonsterSupplement.com's leading product lines. Already being called "The Body of 2011", fans can meet Roger at the BodyPower Expo - May 21-22 at the NEC Birmingham. Roger is putting on another 10 lbs. of solid muscle mass to meet the challenge with a new set of wheels to match.

| • April 20 ’11 – The 2011 Fitness Britain Tour kicked off the first regional heat in Manchester with the new breed of Muscle, Fitness, Bikini, Model, and Figure athletes qualifying for the ESPN International televised MM Britain Championships. Underdog Musclemania Masters Champion Rick Waters, owner of the famous H20 Gym in Essex upset MM Heavyweight Champion Roger Snipes for the overall title!
• Feb 25 ’11 – Figure is Back! Yes, because of raging popular demand, Figure Britain will return to all 2011 Regional and National shows. Competitive ladies will now be able to choose from the Fitness, Ms. Bikini, Model, Musclemania and Figure Britain Divisions.
• Feb 25 ’11 – It was just announced that the Top 3 Finalists at the Britain Championships in September will qualify for the 2011 Fitness America Weekend in Las Vegas and 2012 Fitness Universe Weekend in Miami. In addition, the Top 3 Finalists at the 2010 Fitness Britain Championships will be invited to compete at the 2011 Fitness Universe Weekend in Miami. Both the Miami and Las Vegas shows are mammoth events with nearly 600 competitors from around the world.
• Feb 18 ’11 – Britain show promoters U-Phorm have announced their commitment to Sponsor Top Competitors including flight and accommodation to international competitions in Miami or Las Vegas. Also, because the US based shows are heavily weighed upon media, television and other marketing, sponsored competitors will those whom Uphorm believe are the most promotable and not necessarily the Top 3 Finalists who will qualify. They maintain that the best athlete will win on the day, but not always the most marketable and/or having the best chance of doing well on a world stage. Show promoters confirm that a pragmatic approach will be taken to ensure separation between the independent and unbiased judging process and post show athlete promotion.
• Feb 10 ’11 – A late qualifying round is now available for those Under 18 on the Fitness Britain Tour entry form. The round will be held before the pre-judging at the Finals which means that teens will be able to apply directly to the Fitness Britain Championships where travel and accommodation to an England, Scotland, or Wales qualifier is not possible. The decision is designed to provide a fair opportunity for young athletes entering the sport.
• Jan 11 ’11 – Fitness Britain Championships announces its cooperation with the European Championships in Italy and becomes a qualifier. European winners will be invited to enter World events in Miami or Las Vegas.
• Jan10 '11 – Fitness Britain announces 3 new categories being launched as part of the 2011 Britain Champions event. Ultimate Kata martial arts, Clash dance competition, and Escape Britain free running/gymnastics will form part of the series at regional and national events.
• Jan 9 ’11 – The Bodybuilding College hosts it’s first VLE (virtual learning environment) online/tele-conference for Fitness England competitors. Some good questions are raised.
• Jan 5 ’11 – Model Britain competitor and Musclemania lightweight runner up Duquaine Brooks launches his new website www.duquainebrooks.com and 2011 calendar. Duquaine announces is his running for the position of Saint Nicholas on his home page and asks for protein bars and non-fat milk.
• Jan 2 ’22 – Duquaine Brooks models exercise programme in ultra-FIT magazine Jan edition.
• Nov 1 '10 - The 2011 Fitness Britain Tour is posted and will include new regional shows in Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England. Everything will culminate at Fitness Britain Championships.
• Oct 30 '10 - After a six year hiatus, London based MM Pro Ulisses will make his way back to the MM World Pro Championships in Las Vegas. At 5'10", 205 lbs., he will compete against over 20 other MM Pros. The competition will be webcast on November 19-20.
• Aug 22 '10 – Fitness Britain Official Posing Workshop & Rehearsal will be held on Aug 28-29 at Island Gym in, Enfield. Musclemania & Model Britain Champion Rob Riches along with fellow Active Channel fitness expert Laura Church will lead the sessions.
• Aug 21 '10 – New High School/Teen Posing Workshop & Rehearsal will be held at Fitness First, Brentwood. With support from training provider U-Phorm and The Bodybuilding College, the high school class is scheduled to be the biggest in event history.
• Aug 20 '10 – MM Britain contestant Mehmet Edip called us today asking for rings to be harnessed to the ceiling, exactly 4 feet above stage. Musclemania staff was wondering what he’s up to! Mehmet has assured us that all will be revealed at the show on 5th September. The Alban Arena have expressed concern over bodybuilders hanging from ceiling. They thought the idea was to “raise the roof”, not bring it down!

• July 4 '10 - Musclemania Pro Ulisses Jr. will be shooting a hard core training video in London on Thu, Sep 2. He is inviting fans to join him by being part of the gym audience. At an amazing ripped and symmetrical 215 lbs., he will be a site to see! Location and times will be posted soon.
• July 3 '10 - Andrea Clarke, Skills Funding Agency Suffolk knows that motivating students to achieve is top of the governments’ agenda and has reserved a front row seat at The Alban Arena to support success. The Fitness Britain show format is capturing the imagination of young talent at an early age. For many young people, the show stage will be their final exam to put theory into practice!
