Cruising the streets of Kolkata, Musclemania® India Fitness Champion Mohsin Khan capturing the attention of city dwellers. "I am proud to represent my hometown," he says. At 5'10", 165 165 lbs., Mohsin is training for MM Asia in Singapore this season.
Natural bodybuilder Umer is one of India's top rising natural bodybuilders. The 5'10", 190 lbs., 24 year old has competed in only two local Indian shows, but will take the stage at Musclemania® India later this season. "I've been training since I was 15 years old and was always bigger than everyone else my age," Umer says. "I took to bodybuilding on the first day and haven't stopped since. I train everyday but my challenge is getting the right foods in Kashmir. There's no nutrition stores here, so I don't rely on the supplements like other bodybuilders. Just good food."
At 5'10" and just 160 lbs., Indian natural bodybuilder Moshin Khan says he stays in lean, 4% bodyfat all season. "I just never get out of shape," Mohson explains. "I am training for Musclemania® India Physique in a few weeks, but after that I am going start adding mass and want to compete heavier and as a bodybuilder next year." Mohsin says he's lifetime natural and wants to keep it that way.
Indian bodybuilder Sunny Sharma is nearly contest ready all season. The 5'10", 175 lbs., 20 year old says, "I eat 6-7 solid meals everyday no matter where i am. I pack and have them with me all the time. I hit my macros each day and look like I'm two weeks out year round." Sunny will take the Musclemania® India stage in a few weeks.
Delhi, India bodybuilder Sunny Sharma is training for Musclemania® India. The 5'8", 160 lbs., 20 year old has been training for 3 years, but this will be his first national level show. "I saw the MM show last year and have been training for this ever since," Sunny says. "I have kept my bodyfat around 4% all season and am growing about 1 kg (2.2 lbs.) per month. It's been anm incredible sacrifice for me and my family, but I am committed to shine on stage!"
Growing up in Punjab, India, 18 year old natural bodybuilder Leonardo Zoro says he was always infatuated with big muscle men. "Sports and big, athletic men were always respected here, so I decided I wanted to be one, too," he explains. Leonardo started training when he was just 15 and hasn't stopped since. "I am training for Musclemania India because I am natural and the other shows aren't around here. Besides, I see how MM guys are so popular here in India and in the world and I want to become one of them, too." Leonardo will take the stage at MM India in Mumbai in September.
"Lazer Mazher" Hamlaani is ripped year round! The 5'8", 175 lbs., Musclemania India Physique Champion was spotted as being one of the best new talent in the show last season. "I've been lifting for years," Maher says. "But, I never wanted to compete in those drug shows. So, when MM India was announced, I signed up and started training for the show." Mazher is an event logistic manager and trains in Mumbai. Currently, he is training for MM Universe in June.
Musclemania® India Physique Finalist Farzan Wasti is in superb form as he trains for the MM India Tour this season. He says, "There are things we do in life that keep us sharp, on the edge, where some simply need to be. This is what it is for me. I call it the cloak of invincibility!" Farzan has been training for nearly 7 years but did not decide to compete until last season when MM India was introduced. "Finally, a natural show in India," Farzan shouts.
Musclemania® India star Vivek Rock says he's been hitting the gym every day since the show in December. "It was my first time competing and was such a charge!," he attests. The 5'8", 175 lbs., 23 year old training continues, "I never wanted to compete because of the drugs in bodybuilding, so it was so exciting when I learn that MM was coming to India. I went the Ulisses and Simeon seminar in Bangalore in May and learned so much." Vivek is training for MM India this season and says he will bring a whole new physique to the stage.
Musclemania® India Physique Mazher Hamlanni has quickly become one of the country's most popular natural athletes. The 5'8", 175 lbs., event management coordinator is training now for MM Universe in June. "It was my first show and I want to have a new looking physique for the next time," Mazher explains. "I never really ate and trained for muscle grow. So, this is a new experience for me."
