Musclemania Pro Ben Radic on South Beach last week after winning the MM Universe Pro HW Class. The 5'9", 220 lbs., Slovenia fitness center owner says he feels he won his class because of conditioning. "I was really strict with my diet for the past 6 months and it made a big difference," Ben explains. "I did not worry about size or weight, which did not change. I just watched my food, especially carbs and keep up my cardio." Ben heads back to Europe on Thursday and says he will stay in his diet and never get out of shape again. "I want to look like a winner all year!"
Musclemania Pro Ty O is 2 weeks out from trying to win MM Universe for the second time. The 5'8", 215 lbs., British natural bodybuilder says he's been alternating his training for the show. "My training routine has changed from heavy weights with low volume repetitions to lighter weights with higher volume. Ive also increased my cardiovascular training from twice to 4 times/week so still not too crazy, in order to retain the hard earned gains over the off season. There's not much sculpting going on right now, my focus is on bringing in a tight and very presentable physique. In order to do so, my diet consists of high protein, moderate good fats to low carbohydrates."
Musclemania Pro Ben Radic looking massed as he prepares for MM Universe next month. The 5'9", 220 lbs., Slovenia says he's on his game. "There is no playing this time! I don't have any interferences and will be in my best shape ever!" Ben will take on the best naturals in the sport, so mass alone won't matter. He'll need to be ripped this time if he wants to win.
Musclemania® Southwest LW Champion Rogelio Medina Soto says, "Its Tuesday and to me its just one more day down to concentrate on my dream." The 5'7", 175 lbs., Albuquerque construction worker will take the stage at MM Universe next month. Rogelio continues, "I'm 3 week's out and feel so ready to put a good show. This show is going to be a great experience for me and one more dream complete."
Musclemania® Pro Roody Exantus shocked everyone at MM Universe last season with a classicly symmetrical and incredibly thick physique. Now, the Orlando fire fighter is training to bring a whole new physique to the show next month. "I have added about 10 lbs. of lean muscle to my physique since the last show in Las Vegas," Roody promises. "It will be a new game with new rules, now!"
Musclemania® Pro Kevin Darrell has got 5 weeks until MM Universe. At 5'10", 214 lbs., he says, "I've cut calories back to about 3500 per day over the past two weeks but no cardio. I have incorporated a lot of circuit training at a comfortable weight so I complete all the reps with proper form. I've really been working on squeezing and contracting all my reps a lot more."
Musclemania® Colombia Champion Daniel Roman swept the competition at his first time on a national level stage. Now the 5'7", 182 lbs., 21 year old says he training for MM Universe in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale. "I'm not wasting time. I know the show will be much bigger and better guys, so I am training harder than ever. I am especially working on my weaknesses like calves and hams." Daniel is sponsored by Megaplus Nutrition, a major Colombian brand.
Just in the US for 3 months, Brian Andraos says he's transforming his physique for Musclemania® Universe Physique in June. "I am training hard, eating more and lots of cardio to grow while getting into shape," Brian says. The 5'11", 215 lbs., 28 year old has never competed. "I want to walk on the Miami stage and make sure know Brian's arrived! It will be a show."
"Lazer Mazher" Hamlaani is ripped year round! The 5'8", 175 lbs., Musclemania India Physique Champion was spotted as being one of the best new talent in the show last season. "I've been lifting for years," Maher says. "But, I never wanted to compete in those drug shows. So, when MM India was announced, I signed up and started training for the show." Mazher is an event logistic manager and trains in Mumbai. Currently, he is training for MM Universe in June.
